Statistics known about the village of Trypchen from a book published by the Shevenko Scientific Society. There were 631 acres of farmland, with 432 acres cultivated; there were also orchards and vineyards. Trypchen was located on the banks of the Dniester River. (Editor's note: I don't know if either of the villages are still in existence.) The village had a one-room school, classes were taught in Ukrainian while under Austrian rule, and Ukrainian and Polish, when governed by Poland. The brick church was built in 1854.
