She also leaves to mourn her passing 1 sister Antoinette Vandel and 1 brother Rémi LeRoux; sisters-in-law: Jean LeRoux, Mary LeRoux, Adrienne Philippot, Yvonne Philippot and Laurette Philippot as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Henri; her infant daughter Raymonde and her son Normand; daughter-in-law Heather; her parents Yves and Marie-Josephe LeRoux; 2 brothers: Henri and Charles; 2 sisters: Rolande Débusschère and Odile Bergeron; 12 brothers-in-law: Robert Vandel, Edouard Débusschère, George Bergeron, André Oliviero, Arthur Jacques, José Troisfontaines, Aimé Badiou, Julien Philippot, Charles Philippot, Alexis Philippot, Joseph Philippot and Raymond Philippot; and by 8 sisters-in-law: Angèle Oliviero, Claire Philippot, Isabelle Philippot, Lucienne Philippot, Mariette Philippot, Josette Philippot, Nathalie Jacques and Louise Badiou.
Cécile was born and raised in St. Claude, where she met and married Henri Philippot. Together they raised their family and operated a dairy farm for 37 years. After their retirement they enjoyed traveling with family and friends. One of her many joys was receiving family and friends in her home where she would spend hours lovingly preparing delicious meals for all to enjoy. She was also passionate about gardening and could often be found outdoors tending to her many flower, fruit and vegetable patches. Family and community were very important to Cécile and she spent many selfless hours helping out and being of service to family members and friends, as well as volunteering at numerous community events, always with a big smile on her face. Cécile was a woman of conviction and her strong faith in God brought her much comfort and peace in difficult as well as joyful moments.
Prayers will be held at 7:00 pm at Adam’s Funeral Home in Notre Dame on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 pm in the St. Claude Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, February 29, 2024. Interment to follow in the St. Claude Cemetery.

C’est avec une grande tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de notre chère maman et grand-maman Cécile Philippot, survenue paisiblement au Pavillon de St. Claude, le 22 février 2024 à l’âge de 90 ans.
Elle laisse dans le deuil ses six enfants, Gilbert, Roger, Nicole (Dan), Rhéal (Colleen), Daniel et Patrick (Ginette); 14 petits-enfants, Glenn, Ian, Mark, Jennifer (Karl), Michelle (Asko), Colin (Taylor), Rachelle, Angie (Chris), Christine (Jeremaya), Michel (Solange), Ginette (Mat), Stephan, Rhéanne et Joelle; ainsi que plusieurs arrière-petits-enfants et arrière-arrière-petits-enfants; une sœur Antoinette Vandel, un frère Rémi LeRoux; ses belles-sœurs Jean LeRoux, Mary LeRoux, Adrienne Philippot, Yvonne Philippot et Laurette Philippot ainsi que de nombreux neveux, nièces, parents et amis.

Cécile est née et a grandi à St. Claude, Manitoba ou elle rencontra et maria Henri Philippot. Ensemble ils ont élevé leur famille de sept enfants sur leur ferme laitière. Une fois à la retraite, ils aimaient bien voyager avec leur famille et leurs amis. Cécile aimait beaucoup recevoir les gens chez elle, où elle passait de nombreuses heures à préparer avec amour, de délicieux repas. Elle avait le pouce vert et avait une grande passion pour le jardinage. Nous pouvions souvent la trouver dans son jardin s’occupant de ses fleurs, légumes, et ses buissons fruitiers. La famille et la communauté étaient importantes pour Cécile. Elle passa d’innombrables heures à être au service de ses bien-aimés, à donner de son temps et de son énergie, ainsi que de faire du bénévolat lors d’évènements communautaires. Et cela, toujours avec un beau sourire au visage. Femme de conviction, sa foi lui apportait beaucoup de réconfort et de consolation – en moments de joie, de tristesse et de maladie.
Les prières funéraires auront lieu à la Maison Funéraire Adam, Notre Dame de Lourdes, le mercredi 28 février 2024 à 19h00.
Les funérailles auront lieu en l’Église de St-Claude le jeudi 29 février 2024 à 13h30. L’Inhumation suivra au cimetière St-Claude.
La famille souhaite remercier les fournisseurs de soins à domicile, ainsi que le personnel du Pavillon St-Claude pour leur soin attentionné et leur compassion.
Des dons commémoratifs peuvent être faits à L’Association canadienne du diabète ou la Société canadienne du cancer.
