JEAN WILK, BORN: OCT 02, 1919, DATE OF PASSING: NOV 14, 2000; Suddenly, on Tuesday, November 14, 2000, at Fred Douglas Lodge, we lost our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mom was born October 2, 1919, in Winnipeg Beach. Predeceased by husband Mike Wilk, March 17, 1974, and brothers, Bill, Tommy and Bert Tomko and sisters, Eileen Scott and Bertha Nedotiafko; also by nephew Roger. She is survived by her children, Dennis (wife Pat), Patricia Arnaud (husband Paul) and Ron (Chico) granddaughter Tammy (Mike) Piwniuk, all of Winnipeg and grandson Michael of Hull, Quebec; great-grandchildren, Braeden and Ciara Piwniuk. Also a very special niece Jackie Jackson, who she thought of as her daughter and her best friend Helen Borgford. Survived by two wonderful sisters, Elsie Zelenitsky (Allan), Anne Rogoski (Charlie) of Winnipeg Beach; brother Laurie Tomko (Marge) of Arborg, Murray Anderson and Nora Anderson of B.C.; sister-in-law Alice Tomko and Howard Scott of B.C., Olga Tomko of Winnipeg Beach, also numerous nieces and nephews. Mom spent many years living in Winnipeg Beach and worked for Eddies Cafe, later moving to Winnipeg where she worked for Miracle Bakery and Tasty Bread. Mom was a very family-oriented person, who loved her visits from all, especially Annie and Elsie and also Paul Arnaud for his never-ending visits. At Mom's request, there will be no funeral service. A graveside service for family will be held at the Winnipeg Beach Cemetery on Sunday, November 19 at 2:00 p.m. The family wishes to thank the Nursing Staff at Fred Douglas Lodge, especially Lori Ritchie and Lois Mondale and Margaret who were there for Mom. I Patricia Arnaud, lost my dear mother and best friend. At the family's request, no flowers or cards please. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements
