  News was received here the past week of the tragic death, at Wahpeton, N.D., on Thursday, June 17, of Dr. Benjamin Thane. Death was caused by electrocution by his own x-ray machine while he was giving a treatment to a patient. Wet shoes were given the responsibility for the sudden death. It is stated that the doctor had just returned from the river and that his shoes were damp and that the circuit must have been completed when, with his foot on the x-ray switch, his right hand touched the fluoroscope screen at the same time he reached with his left hand to turn off a light to darken the room.
