_______________________________________
Peacefully at the St. Claude Pavilion on Saturday, March 12, 2022, Yvette Gauthier passed away at the age of 90 years.

She also leaves to mourn her brother Roland (Alice) Dondo; her sister-in-laws Laurette Philippot (nee Gauthier), Céline Gauthier and brother-in-law Tony Silvari, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Yvette is predeceased by her parents Yves Dondo and Thérèse (née Durand); her parents-in-law Ovila Gauthier and Lucienne (née Lemoine); her siblings and in-laws; Marie-Ange (Denis) Lebleu, Gabrielle Lalonde, André (Clothilde) Dondo, Marcel Dondo, Germain (Julianna) Dondo, Lionel Dondo, Lucette (Albert) Jobin, Léo (Hermine) Gauthier, Oliva Gauthier, Alfred Gauthier, Raoul Gauthier, Anna Silvari, Raymond Philippot and Lucien (Marie) Gauthier.
Yvette was born on July 17, 1931 in Notre Dame de Lourdes. Her family moved to St. Claude when she was twelve years old. In 1960 she married Henri Gauthier, and they raised their four children on her father’s farm which Henri bought in 1966.
Yvette lived her life with passion and purpose. With an appreciation for good conversations and a head for business, she found great satisfaction in hairdressing and managing her clothing store ‘Boutique Saint-Claude’. Yvette was never too tired to cut hair or to chat with customers. She knew her clients well and took their needs to heart.
When she retired, Yvette loved the frequent visits from her grandchildren. They were often a relaxing diversion from her gardening chores. Their innocence and curiosity made her smile with each visit.
Yvette enjoyed curling, snowmobile rides, hunting rabbits and later gophers, but above all it was her garden and her flowers that gave her the greatest joy. When it rained, she’d say, ‘’My flowers are laughing!’’
May your garden flourish forever…
