It was described specifically or transcribed by them as "JULIANA MARIE DONDO, Born: Feb 09, 1935, Date of Passing: Apr 12, 2000; Peacefully, on Wednesday, April 12, 2000 at the Portage District General Hospital, loving wife and devoted mother, Juliana Marie Dondo (nee Gagnon), passed away in the arms o".f her loving family. Juliana was born on February 9, 1935, daughter of Edouard and Marie Anne Gagnon in Loon Lake, Sask. She was raised and received her education in Makwa, Sask. In 1957 she moved to Manitoba, where she was later employed at the Tache Hospital in Winnipeg. On June 20, 1959, she married Germain Dondo and moved to St. Claude, Man., where the couple farmed and had four children. In 1969 the family moved to Portage la Prairie. Juliana held many part time jobs, but she devoted most of her time to raising her children. Juliana leaves to cherish her memory her husband Germain Dondo; children, Suzanne Dondo, Robert Dondo, Lorraine (Lloyd McAllister), Gilbert Dondo (fiance Denise Bousquet and son Daniel) grandchildren, Kristy and Kayla Dondo and Jordan and Danielle McAllister. She also leaves to mourn her brothers, Bertrand (Jeannine) Gagnon and Abel (Anita) Gagnon; sisters, Emilienne (Emilien) Gauthier and Armande (Elisse) Charpantier and sisters-in-law, Fernande and Lina Gagnon. She will be fondly remembered by Germains family, Gabrielle Lalonde, Andre (Clothilde) Dondo, Yvette (Henri) Gauthier, Roland (Alice) Dondo, Lionel Dondo and Lucette Jobin. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. Julie is predeceased by her parents Edouard and Marie Gagnon; sister Mariette (husband Gaston) Lambert; brothers, Henri and Marcel; parents-in-law Yves and Therese Dondo; sister-in-law Marie-Ange and brothers-in-law, Marcel Dondo, Albert Jobin and Louis Lalonde. Mom, you will be remembered for your love, your patience and especially for your kindness. You always saw the good in others and you taught us to do the same. You were a great teacher and a thoughtful listener and your infectious laughter brought joy to all who knew you. You were a woman of many talents. Your skilled hands crafted countless blankets, dresses and suits, and you always had time to cook and bake for your family and friends. You took great pride in your garden and flower beds, showering every plant you raised with the same tender care you bestowed on those around you. Your greatest pride was your grandchildren, who you spoiled with your selfless warmth and affection. You always found time to support them in their endeavours and your memory will have a special place in all of their hearts. We miss you dearly Mom. Thank you for all of what you have given to us. Your unselfish love will always be cherished and you will forever remain in our conversations and our memories. Love, your family. Prayers will be held at St. Johns Roman Catholic Church in Portage la Prairie on Sunday, April 16 at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the St. Claude Roman Catholic Church, Provincial Road 240 South on Monday, April 17 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at St. Claudes Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in care of Adams Funeral Home in Notre Dame de Lourdes, Man. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Good Shepherd Church Project, care of St. Johns Roman Catholic Church, 107 Duke Ave., Portage la Prairie, Man. or to the Canadian Diabetes Association, (204) 925-3800.
