It was described specifically or transcribed by them as "ANNA PITTET (NÉE THÉROUX); Born: Jul 24, 1921; Date of Passing: Mar 18, 2015; Peacefully at the Foyer Valade Actionmarguerite St. Vital, on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, Mrs. Anna Pittet, formerly of Somerset, Manitoba, passed away at the age of 93 y".ears. She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Suzanne, Maurice (Darlene), Lilianne (Hubert) and Jo-Anne (Marc); daughter-in-law Sharon; son-in-law Jim; and her 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. The most recent great-grandchild born on March 6, aptly named Anna in honour of our matriarch. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph (1994), a son Guy (2000), and a daughter Lucille (2003). Anna was born on July 24, 1921 in Notre Dame de Lourdes to Joseph and Marie Théroux. She married Joseph Pittet in 1941 and they welcomed six children. They began their life on the farm. However, years later found themselves owning and operating the McLeod's Hardware Store and Robinson clothing in the small town of Somerset, Manitoba for over 30 years. Anna also proudly served as a member of the Filles D'Isabelle. Anna will be remembered as a generous, kind, sweet person whose home was always open to family and friends. Funeral services will be held in the Notre Dame de la Nativité Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 24, 2015. Prayers, eulogy and video tribute at 1:30 p.m., Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m. followed by interment in the Parish Cemetery with Father Armand Le Gal officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or to CancerCare Manitoba.
