      JULIA FECYK (MICHALUK) BORN: APR 24, 1919, DATE OF PASSING: JUN 07, 2010; It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Julia on June 7, 2010 at the Betel Home in Selkirk. Julie was predeceased by her husband Steve and her son-in-law Phil Boyer. Julie leaves behind daughter Dolores, grandchildren Stephen (Trish) Boyer and Lisa Boyer (Doug Allard), great-grandchildren Wil Boitson, Victoria and Iain Boyer and sister Sophie Boyko. Julie was born in Komarno, April 24, 1919. Steve and Julie married in 1943 and resided on Tremblay Street all their married life. Mom could cook, sew, garden, paint, anything she did, was done to excellence. Dad and Mom enjoyed their time at the cottage in Whytewold. Mom resided in her daughter's home for the past five years before going to the hospital and then to the home. Special thanks to all the caring people who looked after Mom at the Gimli Hospital and at the Betel Home. Following Julia's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.

      After a short illness, on Friday, December 15, 2000, with his family by his side, Steve Fecyk, 82 years, at St. Boniface Hospital, passed away. Steve is survived by his wife of 57 years, Julia, daughter Dolores (Phil) Boyer, grand-children; Stephen (Trish) Boyer, Lisa (Randy) Boitson, great grandcildren; William, Victoria and Iain. Steve is also survived by his sister Sonny Williams. Steve was employed with Swifts, first as a Cooper then later in the stores department until their closure. Special thanks to all who helped Steve and his family during his illness. A private family gathering will take place at a later date. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Steves memory to the St. Boniface General Hospital Research Foundation, 409 Tache Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6.
