Predeceased by her husband, Raymond (2007), son Louis (1981), grandson Louis Boucher (1983); siblings: Paul, Hubert, Damien Durand, Thérèse Fouasse, Gertrude Simoens.
She was the eldest child of Maxime Durand and Marie Josèphe LeMoullec. She was born and raised in Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB and, in 1950 when she married, moved to Vancouver where she and Ray raised their family and established a family business. In 2002, she moved to Nanaimo to be closer to her children. She was involved with her children and grandchildren at Ecole Bilingue, Ecole Océane, Sea Cadets, as well as parish activities at Saint Sacrement (Vancouver) and St. Peters (Nanaimo).

He was the son of François and M".arthe (Baudry) Pallard and was predeceased by his sister Louise Fisher (1974), brother Joseph (2004), son Louis (1981), and grandson Louis Boucher (1983). He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Cécile Marie (Durand), his children: Claire Bélanger (Roger), Lucille, Marc (Maureen), Roger, Norman (Jackie) and Paul, his grandchildren: Marie-Andrée (Mark), Michel, James, Daniel, Kevin, Andrea, Renée, Lucas, Victoria, Rosalie, Evelynne and Abby, his sister: Thérèse Desorcy, brother: Emmanuel and many nephews, nieces and cousins across Canada. Ray moved from Manitoba to Vancouver in 1947. With his brothers, Joe and Mac, he established Pallard Brothers Funeral Home. In 1956, he incorporated Broadway Gas Ltd. where he perfected his skills as a master plumber and gas fitter. In his early years in Vancouver, he also helped found Paroisse and Ecole St. Sacrement and always remained a dedicated supporter of the parish, school and French culture in BC. He enjoyed life to the fullest, having a keen interest in technology, modes of transportation, sailing and the outdoors. During retirement, he enjoyed traveling and recently went to Cuba. He will be remembered for his love and commitment to family. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 19, 2007 at 11 a.m. at St Raphael's Old Catholic Church, 715 East 51st Ave, Vancouver, BC, Bishop LaPlante officiating. The family would like to thank the staff at Mount St. Joseph Hospital for their support in the last months. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Canadian Diabetes Association. As a true tribute to Ray, think of him as you enjoy your favorite dessert.
