HONORA (HARRY) PHILLIP TOUGAS, BORN: JUL 01, 1913, DATE OF PASSING: JUN 29, 2001; Peacefully on Friday, June 29, 2001, Harry passed away at the Deer Lodge Centre at the age of 87 years. Harry was reunited with his late son Henry. Honora will be sadly missed by his beloved and caring wife Josephine of 55 years; son Roland (Adeline) five daughters, Louise (Gilbert), Rita (Len), Alma (Jeff), Yvonne (Carl) and Julie (Marcel) 20 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Dad/Grandpa was predeceased by his son Henry; his parents; and three sisters, Aurise, Rose and Georgianna. He is survived by his brother Joe (Therese) of Anola, MB, his sister Aurore Gauthier of St. Pierre, MB, and numerous nieces and nephews. Honora was born on July 1, 1913 in Fisher Branch, MB. Always a hard worker, Dad finally retired at the age of 67. Dad had various hobbies, all of which involved making things for his children and grandchildren, and playing cards with friends and family. Dad always used to say that the whole country took the day off to celebrate "HIS" birthday. The family would like to thank the wonderful, compassionate staff of 4E at the Deer Lodge Centre and a special thank you to family and friends for the love, support, and encouragement over the years. "Death only comes to let us know, We love more deeply than we show. But love in death should let us see, What love in life should always be." In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral services to be held July 4 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). In lieu of flowers, donations in Harrys memory may be made to the Sunshine Fund, 194-A Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B6.
