It was described specifically or transcribed by them as "ANNIE (BABA) KULBABA (FEDORUK), BORN: AUG 07, 1915(!), DATE OF PASSING: AUG 21, 2006; ANNIE (BABA) KULBABA (nee FEDORUK) September 7, 1915 - August 21, 2006 After a long and courageous battle with breast cancer, our Baba joined her beloved husban".d John in the arms of her Lord. Annie leaves to celebrate her life, daughter Irene (Stan) Kanaski; son Donnie (Joyce) Kulbaba; son-in-law Mike Rachuk (Jeanette); her grandchildren, Rob (Michelle) Kanaski, Bradley and David Kulbaba, Patricia (Mike) Koniak, Michael Rachuk (Karen) and Jimmy Rachuk; as well as her great-grandchildren, Kolten and Kiera Kanaski and Heather and Jordan Koniak, along with numerous other nieces, nephews, family and friends. Baba was predeceased by her loving husband John in 1981 and her precious daughter Jean in 1986. Baba was born and raised in Stead, MB where she lived with her parents on the family farm. In the early 1930s, at a local dance, she met the love of her life, John Kulbaba. They were married on November 3, 1937. While John was away working, Baba stayed home to look after the farm and raise their three children. Baba lived her entire life in the Stead area until the untimely passing of her husband and then her eldest daughter Jean. She then moved to Beausejour where she spent the remainder of her life enjoying the company and companionship of her daughter Irene. Baba was a very gentle, kind hearted person, who worked hard for her family, saw the good in everyone and took a keen interest in their lives. She was proud of everyone's accomplishments. Unfortunately, due to her failing health, her last few years were spent in the care of Eastgate Lodge where she became Baba to all the staff there. Her warm friendly disposition and sense of humor made her unforgettable to all who were lucky enough to meet her. All the staff became her second family and she loved them dearly. A special thanks goes out to the staff of Eastgate, especially Robin, Shauna, Edith, Sandi, Helen, Jan and Sid for all their love and special care. Pallbearers will be Stan Kanaski, Rob Kanaski, Michael Rachuk, Bradley Kulbaba, David Kulbaba and Ross Martin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Rachuk, Jimmy Rachuk and Mike Koniak. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, August 23, at 7:00 p.m. at the Russell Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 24, at the St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Thalberg, MB. Cremation and interment to follow on Friday, August 25, in Thalberg. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Breast Cancer Foundation or to Eastgate Lodge. Dear Lord Put your arms around her Hold her in your care, Make up for all she suffered And all she had to bear. She went through much in silence, Her spirit did not bend, She faced her trials with courage, Until the very end. It broke our hearts to lose her, But she did not go alone, For part of us went with her, The day God called her home. RUSSELL'S of Beausejour, Manitoba are in care of arrangements.
