Simone is survived by her sons, Hubert (Florence), Bertrand (Doris), Rhéal (Rose-Anne) and Paul (Janine); 10 grandchildren, Roxanne (Jeff Fjeldsted), Steven (Amber), Chris (Jen), Cheryl, Danielle, Marc (Megan), Richard (Chantal), Natasha, Noah, Nadia; seven great-grandchildren: Luke, Carly, Hailey, Sarah, Brynnlee, Riley and Colton. Also left to mourn are her brothers and sisters, Thérèse Le Neal (Fernand), Agnes Comte, Cécile Bazin, Lucien (Raymonde) Pelé, Alice (René) Badiou and Suzanne (Harold) Turnbull; sisters-in-law Colette Pelé, Yvonne Pelé, Solange (Romeo Sibilleau) and Simone Tait as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Simone was predeceased by her husband Albert, her son Gérald, sister Constance (Albert Julien), brothers Meinrad Pelé and Joseph Pelé and brothers and sisters in-law, Jean Le Neal, Léon Comte, Roland Bazin, Bill Tait and Andrée (Aurele Sibilleau).
Funeral services will be held at the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church on Friday, March 3, 2017. Prayers and Eulogy at 10:30 am, Funeral Mass at 11 am, followed by Family Interment in the Parish Cemetery with Father Alain Guenou officiating.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Notre Dame Foyer and Hospital for their care and compassion for Simone. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Notre Dame Health Foundation (Hospital), Box 190, Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB R0G 1M0.
