It was described specifically or transcribed by them as "JOAN MARGARET HAGMAN, BORN: DEC 02, 1926, DATE OF PASSING: NOV 08, 2000; No Memorial Service Our most precious mother, grandmother was taken by the hand of God to be with dad on Wednesday, November 8, 2000. Joan passed away after a lengthy illnes".s at approximately 10:25 a.m. at Concordia Hospital. Joan was born on December 2, 1926 in Elmwood of Winnipeg, where she was raised and settled with her loving husband Edward of over 48 years. Joan was a loving and compassionate wife, mother and grandmother whos intelligence and wit gave her a great sense of humour second to none. Her strong will, stubbornness and moral valued, lead all of our family to our loving existence and gave us the strength and courage to face lifes adversities. Joan was predeceased by her husband Edward and parents, Bertha and Fred Cartwright. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her son Greg; daughter-in-law Sandy; grandchildren, Christopher and Chad. She will also be surely missed by her brothers, Robert and Fred. In our sorrow we will find comfort and peace knowing that the pain is gone and your eternal flame has been lit by the rejoining with the one you love. Joan requested cremation and no memorial service. Mom would have wanted, in lieu of flowers, a donation to the Cancer Foundation. The family wish to extend their heart filled thanks to the staff at the Concordia Hospital. MOM It is with great courage you tried to prepare me. For the only thing that could separate us. And even though I thought I was ready to see you in the hands of God I find in my heart a welling sorrow that preparation cannot take away. I think of the times we could have been together and I wish for the chance to say everything I feel. As hard as it is to say good-bye and know well never speak again, I find comfort in knowing that where you are now God told you how I feel and how I am so proud. I have to thank you for the life you gave me, with the never ending love, and understanding. And all the good qualities that made you who you were, is inherent in my children of today. I guess I have to say good-bye and be happy for you now because you and dad are together in the place that you deserve. Gods house is so beautiful that youll never ever frown. Enjoy your everlasting happiness, comfort, love and joy Mom, you deserve it. Ill miss you Mom.....Your loving son Greg.
