It was described specifically or transcribed by them as "EDOUARD HAMONIC, BORN: AUG 22, 1929, DATE OF PASSING: JUN 15, 2015; It is with heavy hearts that we announce that on June 15, 2015, Edouard Hamonic has left us to find his place among the angels and in the company of his sons. He is survived by hi".s loving wife of 62 years Rolande (Marcotte); his two daughters, Michelle (Léo) Gosselin and Claude Hamonic; grandchildren Nadine (Doug), Léo Jr. (Jenna), Jude (Stephanie), Aaron (Kelsie), Zachary, and Jasmyn (Matthew); great-grandchildren Noah, Brenna, Braeden, Matthew, Naomi, Jude-Théo, Camille; and Gerald's family; as well as his brothers Marcel (Janet), Jean Jr., and sisters Rolande, Thérèse (Léo), and Beatrice (Gaétan); and a large and loving extended family. Edouard was pre-deceased by his sons Edouard Jr. and Gérald as well as his brothers Robert, Léon, Eugène, and sister Cécile; and parents Jean and Léontine (LeDortz). Edouard was born on August 22, 1929, in Assiniboia, SK. He moved to Manitoba with his family in 1933, later leaving school to work on the family farm in Dufrost. He and two of his brothers took over the farm and worked it together for 28 years, and Ed subsequently took it over and expanded it with his two sons. On September 4, 1952, he married Rolande Marcotte and together they set up their home a stone's throw from the parish church of Saint-Malo where they lived, raised their four children, and hosted Sunday brunch for the whole family on a weekly basis. They lived there together for over 50 years until their move to the Chalet Malouin, the St. Malo retirement home which had been their brainchild back in 1971. The farming life was a difficult one, but nothing would prove more difficult to overcome than the tragedies that struck first in 1994 and then again in 2000, when a proud and loving father lost his sons Edouard Jr. and Gérald, both much too soon. Through prayer, the grace of Jesus Christ and the support of family, friends, and the community, Ed and Rolande were able to carry on, but the holes left in their hearts never healed. Mon vieux, Dad, Pépère, Pépère-pépère, you showed us the importance of strength of character and a steadfast work ethic. Your love for those around you and your strong family values have left a lasting mark. You have been so strong and resilient; your journey in this world comes peacefully to a close. The Lord has blessed you and kept you; now His face shines upon you and gives you peace. We all love you so very much and will forever keep you in our hearts. A special thank you to the staff at Le Repos Jolys for their patience and gentleness, making dad's parting a comfortable and peaceful one. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations can be made to the Catholic School of Evangelization, P.O. Box 570, St. Malo, MB, R0A 1T0. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at the St. Malo Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements

It was described specifically or transcribed by them as "ROLANDE YVETTE HAMONIC (NÉE MARCOTTE), BORN: AUG 10, 1927, DATE OF PASSING: AUG 10, 2019; It is with heavy hearts that we announce that on her 92nd birthday, August 10, 2019, Rolande Yvette Hamonic (née Marcotte) left us to find her place among th".e angels, in the embrace of her husband Edouard, and the company of her two sons.
Left behind to celebrate her life are her two daughters, Michelle (Léo) Gosselin and Claude Hamonic; grandchildren, Nadine (Doug), Léo Jr. (Jenna), Jude (Stephanie), Aaron (Kelsie), Zachary and Jasmyn (Matt); great-grandchildren, Noah, Brenna, Braeden, Matthew, Naomi, Jude-Théo, Camille, Cosette, Raelyn, bébé Gosselin and bébé Heard; Gérald's family; her dearest friend Yolande Gosselin; and her in-laws, Marcel (Janet) Hamonic, Thérèse (Léo) Bourgeois, and Béatrice Arpin (Gaétan).
Rolande was predeceased by her husband Edouard; sons, Edouard Jr. and Gérald; her parents, Irené Marcotte and Léa Fontaine; and her 16 siblings: Ferdinand, Eva, Arthur, Rose-Alma, Gertrude, Jeanne, Adelina, Irène, Paul, Lucien, Marie-Joseph, Noël, Thérèse, Germaine, Juliette and Ulysses.
Mom was born on August 10, 1927, in St. Malo. As the youngest of 17 children, she was well cared for and somewhat spoiled, and she loved it! She was proud to talk about her tomboy adventures and the resulting scraped knees and elbows. Rolande married her handsome Edouard Hamonic on September 4, 1952, and they set up their home near the St. Malo Church, where they raised their four children and hosted weekly family brunches which are a fond memory for us all. Mom was integral in the functioning of the family farm - as accountant and master lunch-maker. In 1956, she was a driving force behind bringing a sewing factory to St. Malo creating over 100 jobs for the community. Later, along with Ed, she proposed the development of the Chalet Malouin, which became their home in 2004. Tragedy struck in 1994 and again in 2000, when proud and loving mother lost her sons, Edouard Jr. and Gérald, both much too soon. Her strong faith in the Lord and the support of her family, friends and community provided her with strength to go on, but the holes left in her heart never healed. Mom had a deep prayer life. She also loved to dance, knit and watch hockey games. Many afternoons and evenings were spent with her sisters and friends playing card games and teaching her grandchildren how to play.
Mom, Mémère, Mémère-mémère, you instilled in us determination and strength, the importance of family, and the power of faith and prayer. You have been so strong and resilient; your journey in this world comes peacefully to a close and as you have prayed for, you will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. We all love you so very much and will forever keep you in our hearts.
A special thank you to the staff at Le Repos Jolys for their loving and compassionate care, and to l'Abbé Dominic Lafleur for his presence and support.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Catholic School of Evangelization, Box 570, St. Malo, MB R0A 1T0.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. (prayers 10:30 a.m.) on Friday, August 16, 2019 at the St. Malo Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements
