She was predeceased by her husband John in 1998; son Jerry 1996; sisters, Stella B".abynchuk and Sadie Ruta; and brothers, Bill and Fred Michaluk. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her son Norman (Valerie); grandchildren, Elaine (Craig), East St. Paul and Candace, Minneapolis. Mom was born on January 1, 1912 in Poland. Shortly after her birth she came to Canada with her parents who settled in Hadashville, MB. She later went to work in Winnipeg. In 1934, she married John Huzel, also of Hadashville, where they made their home for six years. They then moved to Winnipeg, where they raised their family. Family was the focus of her life and she always provided a warm and loving home for her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and lovingly cherished each granddaughter. Mary belonged to Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church and was an active member of the BVM women's league. She was also a member of Holy Family Nursing Home ladies auxiliary. Mary lived in her home on Seymour Street until 2003, when she moved to the Holy Family Nursing Home. The family would like to thank the Sisters and staff of Holy Family for the care they provided for Mary during her stay. Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 10 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., October 11 at Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 965 Boyd Ave. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL in care of arrangements
