It was described specifically or transcribed by them as "EDMEE LE GAL, DATE OF PASSING: DEC 05, 2013; Edmée Le Gal (née Gosselin) passed away peacefully at the Villa Youville in Ste-Anne, Manitoba on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the age of 91 years. Born in St. Malo, Manitoba to Octave and Florentine Gosselin, Edmée moved to St. Adolphe in 1941 when she married Louis. Her life was quickly filled with raising her children, taking care of the home and managing the family farm. Many will remember her as director of the St. Adolphe nursing home from 1972 to 1982 and the excellent service that she provided. She was a kind, caring and gracious person, always looking out for those less fortunate, showing an exceptional respect for others and bringing a great sense of humour to everything she did. Her greatest passion was singing and all styles of music filled her soul. Her legacy to her children was the love of music and singing is a integral part of the family reunions. In the last years, staff at Villa Youville would always hear her humming or singing in the hallways. There was a grace that carried her throughout her life. No matter what her struggles were, no matter what she thought about life and its challenges, she always maintained her faith in God. Edmée was one of those quiet heroes, not seeking the limelight, making sacrifices for husband and children, surrounding family with love, fun and humour. Her smile was quite contagious and her fun-loving spirit will be greatly missed. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the St. Adolphe Church on Tuesday, December 10, 2013. Viewing will commence at 10:00 a.m., followed by a tribute to Edmée's life at 10:30 a.m. and Mass at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in memory of Edmée Le Gal, to the Villa Youville nursing department, 15 Charrière Road, Ste. Anne, Manitoba, R5H 1C9. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements, 204-775-2220.
