It was described specifically or transcribed by them as "GEORGINA HAGMAN (INA GRAHAM); It is with great sadness that we had to say a final good-bye to our dear Georgina Hagman as she began a new life in God's heavenly kingdom. Georgina was born in Winnipeg to Robert and Jessie Graham. She was one of 10 c".hildren. Losing her dear Dad at a young age, she grew up with her Mom running the family store, and her big brothers and sisters with whom she was always very close. She was a Weston Girl, attended Cecil Rhodes School, and was proud of it. She would often lead the family in a rip-roaring sing-along. During the war years, Mom worked at S S Aircraft, where she met a charming young George Herbert Hagman whom she married on August 22, 1942. Together they enjoyed life in this city as well as a few years in Thunder Bay where George's career took him for a brief time. They were active in their communities, loved bowling and made many friends. When they moved back from Ontario, Georgina worked at Robert's drug store where she was a favourite of many Weston folks. They had two wonderful children, Grant and Linda who arrived in 1948 and 1951. They loved their kids and enjoyed their activities immensely. Georgina was so proud of Grant's hockey in junior league in Thunder Bay; and his decision to join the Provincial Government. She was equally as proud of her beautiful daughter, Linda, who was always up for a new challenge and ended up with the federal government as well. Ina and George enjoyed their holidays immensely. When the kids were young, George would often come home and they'd all jump in the family car and head to the states where they'd enjoy a weekend retreat in one of the local motels and lots of shopping.. Along with numerous Canadian holidays, their visit to Georgina's brother and family in Shoreham, England was a dream come true for her. Another dream of theirs that came true was to own the family cottage at Albert Beach where she loved spending time on the big porch listening to birds. That was when she wasn't painting or working hard in the yard or kitchen. Her home and family mattered most to Georgina. Her three grandchildren were always a source of pride and happiness for Nana . She always had time to make them feel special. And always made sure magic man left them treats! She was delighted to eventually have four beautiful great-grandchildren. Her family loved her and she will be forever cherished by her son Grant (Mary) Hagman; her daughter Linda (Gordon) Demers; her grandchildren, John, Ashley and Todd; and her great-grandchildren, Falicity, Teia, Cassidy and Dominic. She will also be missed by her sister-in-law Evelyn Graham and her many nieces, nephews and friends; her home care gals , as well as her new family from Betelstadur Housing Co-op, where she made numerous new friends and enjoyed so many good times over the past six years. There, as at so many places prior, folks always marveled at her optimistic views and her ever-present beautiful smile. Waiting for her on the other shore besides George, are her parents, Robert and Jessie Graham; brothers, William, Douglas, Robert and Burt Graham; sisters, Jessie Pilous, Margaret Peary; Sue Gavin; Jean Graham and Charlotte Collpitts; plus a number of brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. The family would like to express sincere thanks to the staff of Emergency and the fourth floor of the Grace Hospital. Your dedication and caring kindness is most appreciated. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Georgina to the charity of your choice. Don't weep for me my children, Time has so quickly flown. I've lived the scene of time and change And watched my children grown. Don't mourn too long, my children Rejoice in memories past. I've gone to join the others I'm going Home at last. Rest in peace Nana. We love you.
