      Odile (née Bazin) Marin, October 10, 2023; Suddenly, on Tuesday morning, October 10, 2023, our dear Madame Odile Marin of Winnipeg, Manitoba passed away at the age of 79 years.

      She is predeceased by her husband Marcel who she loved very much and by her parents Romain and Gabrielle Bazin. She leaves to mourn her passing six children, Gaëtan, Louis (Pier Angeli), Sylvain (Cheryl), Alain (Rebecca), Ian (Catherine), Martin (Phyllis), 14 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren; six brothers and sisters, Thérèse, Léo, Denise, Cecile, Marial, Eugène and numerous nephews and nieces, relatives, and friends.

      Odile was a woman of great faith. She was a devoted and loving wife to her husband Marcel, of 38 years. Together they raised six wonderful sons. She often volunteered for events and funerals and attended mass on a regular basis. She was an assistant Postmaster at the Haywood Post Office for numerous years. Odile loved working in the garden, she loved birds and adored flowers. She was always interested in learning about other places, people, and cultures through her many travelling adventures around the world. She will be forever loved by her family and community and will be missed greatly.

      We are especially grateful to the health care providers who administered care for Odile for her short stay at Health Sciences Center Winnipeg. We would also like to thank Adam's Funeral Home for their care and guidance through this difficult time.

      Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Haywood Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. preceded by Recitation of the Rosary, eulogy and video tribute at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery.

      In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Roman Catholic Missions, or to a charity of your choice.

      Marcel Marin, December 16, 2006; Suddenly at his residence on Saturday, December 16, 2006, Mr. Marcel Marin of Haywood, Manitoba passed away at the age of 65 years.

      Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse bien-aimée Odile (née Bazin); six enfants, Gaëtan (Jolene), Louis (Pier Angeli), Sylvain (amie, Cheryl), Alain (Rebecca), Ian (Catherine), Martin (Phyllis). Huit petits-enfants. Il laisse dans le deuil quatre frères, Gilles, Paul-Gaston, Mario, Judes. Trois soeurs Lily, Carmen, Joanne, et de nombreux neveux, niéces, parentés et amis. Il fut précédé par ses parents Hermèningilde et Marianne (Tremblay); trois frères Bertrand, Laval, Jacques, une soeur Jeanne-Aimée et beau-frère Rhéal LeBlond.

      Marcel was a man of great faith. He was a devoted and loving husband to his wife Odile of 38 years. Together they raised six wonderful sons. He was a member of the Fourth Degree of the Knights of Columbus. He was the Postmaster at the Haywood Post office for numerous years. Marcel was a very gifted and talented tradesperson whose handiwork was enjoyed by many. He will be forever loved by his family and community and will be missed greatly.

      We are especially grateful to the nurses and doctors who provided care for Marcel. We would also like to thank Adam's Funeral Home.

      Prayers will be held at Adam's Funeral Home on Thursday, December 21, 2006, at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Haywood Roman Catholic Church on Friday, December 22, 2006, at 2 p.m. preceded by Recitation of the Rosary at 1:30. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.

      In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to R.C. Missions, c/o Father Rhéal Forest, Berens River, MB R0B 0A0 or to a charity of your choice.
