He is survived by his wife, Marie, children, Lorraine (John) McMahon, Leonard (Beryl), Connie (Jim) Ogilvie, Carole; grand".children: Tracy (Kelly), Leon (Kim), Dennis (Nicole), Gina, Gerry (Danielle), Meghan (Desmond), Ben, Kim, Lyle, Brooke; great-grandchildren: Jordin, Cody, Jade, Emily, Julia and Isaac. Predeceased by his parents and 11 siblings. Steve is survived by 11 siblings. The 14th of 23 children, born January 19th, 1932 in Polson, Manitoba. He grew up working on the farm and then tried his hand at mining in N.W.T. and lumber camps in BC. But farming brought him home to Inwood. He married Marie, his wife of 50 wonderful years, and they were blessed with four children. He loved family times shared at holidays, trips to and helping with 4H shows, sporting events and rodeo, mushroom and berry picking tours, fishing and camping with Marie and hunting with the buddies, cattle drives every spring and fall; not to forget the bigger the garden the better because everybody needed fresh vegetables. Prayer Services will be Tuesday, June 10 at 7:30 p.m. in MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Funeral to be held Wednesday, June 11 at 2:00 p.m. in Teulon Rockwood Centennial Centre. In lieu flowers, if anyone wishes, donations may be made to the Health Sciences Foundation or St. Boniface Hospital Foundation. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of arrangements.
