      DR. JOSEPH BZOWY, BORN: DEC 03, 1917, DATE OF PASSING: OCT 31, 2014; With deep sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Joseph Bzowy on Friday, October 31, 2014 at Victoria Hospital. He will be sadly missed by his long-time companion Olena Homenko; his son Dennis (Monica), and two brothers. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, and one sister. He was born in Dundurn, Saskatchewan, but later moved to Alberta where his father farmed. He received a doctorate in naturopathy from Sierra University in the U.S. In 1954, he was named a fellow of the American College of Medical Technologists. The family would like to thank the health care providers at Victoria Hospital for their tender care and support. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with the Very Rev. Michael Skrumeda officiating. Interment to follow at Glen Eden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. This morning when I wakened And saw the sun above I softly said "Good morning Lord, Bless everyone I love." Vichnaya Pam'yat / Memory Eternal!
