RUTH VIVIAN EREMKO (BELL), BORN: DEC 22, 1922, DATE OF PASSING: SEP 25, 2015; Ruth was predeceased by her husband Alexander, son Richard Batulla, mother Ingrid Jonasson, brothers Lloyd and Oscar Nielsen, and sister Ellen MacDonald. Left to survive are her daughter Penny (Ron) Byer, grandchildren Kyla D'Aguiar of Newmarket, Ontario, Shanna Mellish of Kitchener, Ontario, Chesa (Brian) Hickey of Thompson, Manitoba, Leigha Mellish of Thompson, Manitoba, and Tina Batulla of Winnipeg, Manitoba; nephews Barry Nielsen of Victoria, British Columbia, Ken Nielsen of Ottawa, Ontario, and David (Gabriela) Eremko of Nipiwin, Saskatchewan; nieces Janice MacDonald of Chemainus, British Columbia, and Robin Bull of Nanaimo, British Columbia, Sylvia (Clint) Cory of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and Joan Eremko of Regina, Saskatchewan; and great-grandchildren Vincent and Larissa D'Aguiar of Newmarket, Ontario, Coe-Dee Batulla of Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Savannah Hickey of Thompson, Manitoba; and many friends in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Ruth was known for her sewing and craft skills, and most especially, her baking. She would often bake late into the night to share her wares with family, friends and just about anyone who crossed her path. Ruth was generous of heart, but it was her heart that failed her. Instead of flowers, family and friends are asked to donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon.
