Dad Weve known this time was coming for so very long, And even though its here it just doesnt belong. We know the pain and suffering you lived through, We want you back with us, we wanted you to stay; We just wanted the pain and suffering to go away, Your pain left you ragged, a poor worn out man. You worked so hard for so many years with just one thought in mind, To help your children as they grew, a wonderful father like you, no one will ever again find. We gave you our love, it was all we could give, And we know that it helped, that it helped you to live, Now your aching body has stopped living its life, Here left on this earth are your children and wife, And youre up in Heaven with the Lord above, We will love and miss you forever dear dad.
