She will be lovingly missed by her children, daughter-in-law Val, Ted (Doris), Lorraine, Ron (Herta), Mike (Paulette), John (Susie), Joanne (Fern). Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by her sisters, Yvette and Grace.

The funeral will take place on Thursday, June 13 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Emile Church at 556 St Anne's Rd.

It was described specifically or transcribed by them as "MICHAEL ANTHONY ALBO, BORN: AUG 08, 1915, DATE OF PASSING: DEC 10, 2005; It is with deepest sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Michael, on Saturday, Decembe".r 10, 2005, at the Vista Park Lodge. Michael is lovingly remembered by Anita, his wife of 64 years; his children, Ted (Doris), Lorraine (Rodney), Ron (Herta), Mike (Paulette), John (Susie), Joanne (Fern); daughter-in-law Val; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Mary Veltri; and sister-in-law Helen Albo. He was predeceased by his son Bob in 1990; grandson Jason in 1997; son-in-law John in 1977; and by his brothers, Joe, Frank and Paul; and sister Gilda. Michael was born August 8, 1915, in Grimaldi, Italy. He came to Canada at the age of five. As a young man, he started in the grocery business and eventually operated his own grocery store and butcher shop on Ellice Avenue. Michael and Anita were married on November 20, 1941, in Winnipeg. After a brief stay in Fort William, ON, they moved back to Winnipeg where they raised their family in Norwood. Michael was very active in parish activities at Holy Cross. This included Knights of Columbus, Honduras Mission Circle and Dubuc Social Club, where he was a past president and founding member. Dad was fun loving and at his happiest surrounded by his family. The Sunday afternoon croquet games became legendary with all eyes on Dad to see when the cheating would begin. These were followed by lots of food and laughter. Dad also loved to play cards, read books and solve crossword puzzles. Dad was loving, charitable and generous, and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. The family would like to express sincere gratitude and appreciation to all the staff at Vista Park Lodge for their exceptional care, compassion and kindness. A special thanks to Dad's social worker, Angel Roberts. Funeral services will be held at Holy Cross Church, 252 Dubuc St., on Wednesday, December 14 at 2:00 p.m. with viewing at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be at Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Honduras Mission Circle, 63 Hillcrest St., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2J2. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery in care of arrangements
