Left to cherish Luc are hi".s children; Ernest, Monique (Maurice) St. Pierre, Claudette Klaussen, Avelin (Hélène Molin), Omer, Aline (Maurice) Massinon, Yvonne, Marcelin; and his 24 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and sister Blanche (Charles) Bourgeois. He was predeceased by his wife Denise (1993), two young children Marcel and Joseph, and six siblings. Luc was born August 13, 1922 in Haywood, Manitoba. He grew up in Haywood and eventually moved to Saint-Claude in 1962. Luc eventually moved back to Haywood in his retirement and spent his last months in Winnipeg. He was in the army and was also involved in farming, driving, working at the Co-op and repairing furniture and antiques. Some of his favorite hobbies were playing cards (cribbage), fishing and dealing in antiques. Luc had an extensive and long history with antiques. His story telling and sense of humor made him a joy to be around. A long life led to many friendships and close relationships with his family. Prayers will be held at the Club d'Age d'Or in Haywood, Manitoba on Friday, January 9, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Haywood Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, January 10, 2009. Recitation of the Rosary, eulogy and video tribute at 1:30 p.m. followed by Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m. Interment in the Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Denise's memory, to Canadian Diabetes or the CNIB. Adam's Funeral Home of Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba in care of arrangements.
