Some of Spokane's more prominent pioneers are buried in the lower two terraces, among the large trees. The 3rd Terrace has newer lawns and several mausoleums set along the top of a cliff, from which one can see the sunrise over downtown Spokane. Wild turkeys are a common sight here.
