Joseph was born in Ste. Agathe, Manitoba on October 31, 1937. He was the youngest of eight children. He married his first love Vivianne on November 4th, 1961. They lived and they farmed in Aubigny, Manitoba, where their 3 children were born. Dad wasn’t really a farmer, so he decided to take a barbering course and moved us to Elie Manitoba. In Elie, he ran a barber shop and pool room, then he took his family to St. Claude in August 1972. Here Dad did several different jobs. In May 1981 Dad had a terrible motor vehicle accident which ended his work career. After that he moved several times, but spent his last 14 months in St. Claude close to his children. We cherished these last 14 months with Dad. We could stop and see him daily, play crib and watch the NHL games with him. Dad was always a faithful fan of the Montréal Canadiens. If they won for sure the next day he was wearing his Montréal Hat, Jacket and watch. We always knew Montréal won by his attire.
Dad was a proud man who always took care of his family. Dad was always the joke teller and the prankster. He enjoyed playing crib, canasta and many more card games. Uncle Joe to his nephews and nieces always was a special man who we are sure they will all remember fondly.
Dad, aka Pépère Joe for the grandkids, we will miss you, your quick wit, smiles and your love. Love you and give Mom, “Mémère Joe” a big hug from us down here.
Special thanks to the staff of the St. Claude TCU, homecare workers and volunteers who cared for our Dad.

Là, papa a exercé plusieurs métiers.
