      Gerald was born on October 9, 1935, in St. Boniface, Manitoba, to Normand and Marie Lafrenière (nèe Durand) Lambert, Lemieux. He was predeceased by his beloved parents, his brother Norman Lambert, and brother-in-law Leon Arbez.

      Gerald dedicated his life to education as a teacher in First Nations communities across Canada for 53 years. He was passionate about supporting Indigenous youth and was known for his patience, integrity, and quiet strength.

      He leaves behind his loving family: children, Brenda, Suzette (Scott Westman), Robert, and Tom McKay, and his cherished grandchildren, Natalie and Eric Westman. Gerald will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to family, his deep sense of purpose, and his gentle spirit.

      A private family service will be held at a later date.

      In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honour Gerald’s memory to consider a donation to a charity of their choice.
